All Systems Red: The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells (Mini Review)

A soap-opera-watching security robot who has hacked its governor module is tasked with protecting a survey team on a distant planet. All it wants to do is watch its shows. But when the group is threatened by sabotage, will Murderbot tip its hand and show that it may be a little more sentient than it should be?

Feeds deliver information to robot, human, and augmented alike. Data feeds/ video feeds/ audio feeds. Who is given access to which feed and and who may benefit from manipulating information intended for each member of the team, and other recipients and senders… The Murderbot reports the plot through these checkpoints. Revealing who knows what and deducing how to trip up the possible saboteur.

A unique voice and plot design make the Murderbot series a must-read.
