Hi All-
This is a really quick update as I have been busy this week with many things connected to the large fire here in Sonoma County. After several awful nights, as of today (Wednesday morning) the fire is now 30% contained. Here’s hoping that the winds die down and the thousands of firefighters can get it totally under control. Many of our relatives were evacuated and have been without power, and school is suspended until Monday.
On the blog: I have posts that are already scheduled, but I haven’t been on social media much at all except to stay up-to-date with the news. I had a couple hours to try to sit down and escape into reading the other night. I literally started reading six different books and none of them would stick. I finally picked up Skyward and I was able to get into it.
I’ll probably be back at it on Monday when life returns to a somewhat normal pace. Thanks to all who have been reading and sharing my posts.
Here’s some top posts from the month:
The True Bastards by Jonathan FrenchDark Pattern, The Naturalist, Book 4 by Andrew Mayne
The Light at the Bottom of the World by London Shah
The Book of Lost Saints by Daniel Jose Older
Tristan Strong Punches a Hole in the Sky Book by Kwame Mbalia
Here’s some to look forward to in the coming month…
Oh my gosh, so sorry you’re dealing with the fires, Paul! Take care and stay safe. I’m down here in Los Angeles and we have a bunch of fires as well. None of them are near me but they are impacting lots of friends.

Over 180 thousand were evacuated in less than a day, but there were no fatalities… That’s the big number. Everyone learned a lot from two years ago.

Thankfully, we’ve had a pretty regular week this week. Things are pretty much back to normal.
